Product Description

A new Phase One Cable Release Adapter makes it possible to trigger the Electronic Shutter (ES) with a remote release unit when the IQ3 Digital Back is used on a Technical Camera.

The remote release units made to work with the XF Camera use a 12-pin multi-connector port while the IQ3 Digital Backs only accept an 8-pin connector. The Cable Release Adaptor (part number 73174) ensures compatibility by plugging it into the 8-pin multi-connector port on the side of the IQ3 Digital Back, while the other end of the adaptor accepts both a 12-pin and an 8-pin connector.

The Cable Release Adaptor can be used with the Phase One Break Out Box (B.O.B.) remote release, the Hähnel Remote Shutter Release for XF accessory, or the Phase One 645+ Electromagnetic Cable Release.

Note that you need to make sure that the Electronic Shutter is enabled on the IQ3 Digital Back by selecting Menu > Camera > Electronic Shutter > On. You can then access the Camera Controls to adjust, for example, shutter speed and ISO value by either pressing the ES icon on the touch screen, or by pressing the bottom right button.

Electronic Shutter (ES) is supported in the following Phase One Digital Backs: IQ3 100MP Trichromatic, IQ3 100MP Achromatic and IQ3 100MP.
